Where can I find your end-user license agreement?
You can take a look at the full agreement here.
Can I use your typefaces on the web, in an app, or as part of an eBook?
I purchased fonts from Fort, but never signed up for an account at checkout. Can I create an account now that has my downloads available?
Yes, register for an account using the same email you used at checkout. Once your account is confirmed, your typeface collection will be available for download along with your order history.
How do I access the Stylistic Alternates?
You'll want to enable Stylistic Alternates in your Character Panel in Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. In Photoshop, open the Character Panel window and click the top right icon for a drop down menu. From that menu, go to OpenType > Stylistic Alternates and viola!
In Illustrator, open up your OpenType window, which is under Type > Opentype in the main Window dropdown. From that panel, icon E will turn them on and off.
How do I access the catch words (Discretionary Ligatures)?
For those styles, you'll want to enable Discretionary Ligatures in your character panel in Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. In Photoshop, open the Character Panel window and click the top right icon for a dropdown menu. From that menu, you can enable Discretionary Ligatures through OpenType > Discretionary Ligatures. Try it out by typing the word “and” when they are enabled.
In Illustrator, open up your OpenType window, which is under Type > Opentype in the Window dropdown. From that panel, icon C will turn them on and off. Try it out by typing the word “and” when they are enabled.
My layers on Industry Inc don’t seem to align. How can I a fix this?
First, make sure Auto is turned on in your Character Panel for Kerning instead of Optical. Auto is the kerning Fort has set up for the typeface; whereas, Optical is the kerning predicted by the design program, which misaligns the layering system.
Second, make sure you’re using free text, and not confined text boxes. Although the typeface has the correct metrics, the way some programs like Illustrator place the different styles inside confined text boxes shifts some layers downward. Confined text boxes occur when you click and drag the text tool to create a text box; whereas, free text occurs when you click once to start typing.
